RedRum

I found a neighbourhood i like. Flowers, rocking chairs, friendly old nanas pottering around their gardens, eccentric little cemetery cross kids play area. Everything bar token rockstar neighbours.
Peace x

Come fly with me, come fly, lets fly away

Because Bondi has such bangin' surf *cough*, why not host an air show!
Post Quiky Pro everyone wandered down the national highway to the Eastern Suburbs for the Boost event.
I floated past on the friday during the junior trials, kiddums absolutely ripping. And again managed to make it down on the main day, Sunday, to spectate the big guns.
Think i lasted a whole 2 heats before the crowd got to my antsy nature and bailing was neccessary. That and i also had an epic picnic to attend where an abundant amount of cheesecake was supplied. Cheesecake presides over everything......

Big snaps to Josh Kerr, air extraordinaire, for claiming the 25 000 clams with a 9 point forehand mute grab air reverse. Snaps indeed

yesssss, like totally

A few weekends ago (two if we want to get down to the nitty-gritty) Bondi played host to the annual VANS Bowl-a-rama.

Now this is a time when Bondi and it's inhabitants flourish. Everyone decides to don a skatie claiming they're a bowl local (despite the uncanny new crisp-ness of said skatie), Beach Rd Hotel report record sales in cider and little groms run around pepped up on free Mountain Dew.

While the actual big comp day was on Saturday 19th, leading up was a convoy of events which although sporting different names and featured musicians, upon recollection, differing each night becomes quite the chore. Been to one hipster party with unshowered 'alt' individuals gauping at undiscovered models and artwork alike, been to them all.

Anyway, enough ripping on them.

So the actual day was kinda mind-blowing. Like gravity defying shit was going down. The crowd was eating it up, going wild. Yours truly managed to score a media pass courtsey of a certain publication, so managed to spock out some decent shots without ripping them of from the intranet.

End of the day results were 15-year-old Pedro Barros smashing the pro division, Steve Caballero taking out the Masters four years in a row (pow pow) and Bob Burnquist snatching best trick with a switch frontside heelflip frontside air. Yes i realise that is a lot of words there so for the visual equivalent youtube that shit, it takes far to long for me to upload...

Cheers VANS for the swell day

Philly cheese rocking

Recently Philadelphia Grand Jury played at Beach Rd, Bondi Beach. That shit rocked.
It all seemed a tad to tame until a minor mosh circle formed around Simon 'Berkfinger' Berckelman, when in this instance, shit just got loose.
